Former NFL QB Jay Cutler Arrested on DUI and Weapons Charges

Jay Cutler, former NFL quarterback, was arrested Thursday evening in Franklin, Tennessee, following a minor traffic accident. The 41-year-old faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), possession of a handgun while under the influence, failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision, and violating implied consent laws.

The Franklin Police Department responded to the scene after Cutler reportedly rear-ended another vehicle. Officers noticed a strong smell of alcohol, observed that Cutler had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. When Cutler refused to take field sobriety tests, police obtained a search warrant to test his blood alcohol level at a hospital. During a search of his vehicle, officers discovered two firearms, including a loaded pistol.

Cutler was taken to the Williamson County Jail and booked on Thursday evening. He was released later that night after posting a $5,000 bond.
